I am a mom. Like many moms, I struggle with balance; showing my husband how much I appreciate him, keeping in touch with family and friends whom I love dearly, managing my ever-growing to-do list, and countless other matters of life.

After two years of trying to balance a career, motherhood, and everything that comes along with being a wife I realized that I was neglecting something; rather someone very important … myself.

Literally, as I settled into bed on the evening of my daughter’s second birthday I had a wow moment and realized that self-preservation, renewal, and relaxation are essential for optimal parenting. I wasn’t doing a great job taking care of myself … thus the birth of this blog, which is all about my approach to living the good life.

The good life is a space where life is simple, balanced, and never rushed or hectic – it’s a space where women can live in the moment and enjoy being moms.

I’m on a journey towards balance and a way of life where I have time and space to enjoy the facets of life that keep my tank full: whole living, beauty and personal style, solitude, friendship, and plenty of date nights. After all, a happy mom equals a happy family.

My goal in parenting is to cultivate a happy, healthy, curious, self-motivated, and resilient child. I strive to create a rich childhood experience for my daughter that fuels a natural curiosity, a life-long love of learning, and the desire and ability to serve God and make this world a better place.
